Koi's Temporary Relocation

It's thrilling really.

High Hand has relocating half-century old koi from the Auburn Buddhist Monastery. We're updating their pond with modern pumps, filters and equipment. While the update takes place, we will be housing the koi here in a temporary holding set-up behind the High Hand fruit shed.

We will invite you to come and take a peek at them -- since we are now officially their 'foster parents' -- while their pond/home update takes place. Look for the big beautiful sky blue swimming pool behind the Fruit Shed.

They are amazing (and pretty big too).

According to the annual “Christmas Price Index” the price for the “The Twelve Days of Christmas” is up 10.9% from last year for a grand total of $86,609.

If this price is toooooo steep, then Saturday, December 13th from 10am-8pm and Sunday, December 14th from 10am-4pm will be a perfect fit for your shopping lists.

We will have 30+ crafters sprinkled through out the High-Hand property, showcasing their best of the best hand crafted items for you.

At 11am, December 13th and 14th (Saturday and Sunday) Santa will be stopping by with his bag full of Christmas treats for all boys and girls visiting us.

1:00 pm both days & directly following Santa, an eclectic and intriguing Marionette Puppet Show, it will be exactly the kind of eye-popping show you’d expect to see. It will be stupendous!

Our High-Hand Art Gallery will be celebrating their Grand Opening with a unique showing of Christmas ornaments & warm cider.

Last and certainly not least, our Café & Conservatory will be serving tasty treats all day!

Psst. We have to talk! Our DINNER days and times are as follows:

Service begins at: 5:30pm and we’ll feed you until the cows come home
Days Dinner will be served: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Beginning November 20th

Closed Thanksgiving Day

We know. We know. We previously wrote something different and please, give us a moment to explain.

As you are well aware, or at least we hope, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. And, we have been working towards a common goal with some Thanksgiving turkey. Friday-- when the email was sent with the WRONG dinner times -- we were smack in the middle of sampling some super moist turkey.

Well, we don’t want to get you too bogged down in details, so we’re going to leave it to one word: tryptophan. Tryptophan helps the body produce B-vitamin niacin, which, in turn, helps the body produce serotonin, a remarkable chemical that acts as a calming agent in the brain and played a key role in our feeling sleepy and pushing the email send button much, much too soon.

So, let’s just catapult over the high grade tryptophan turkey thing for a moment and reiterate the Café & Conservatory dinner hours. Again,

Service begins at: 5:30 pm
Days Dinner will be served: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Beginning November 20th

Closed Thanksgiving Day

Because at this point, it’s really all about clearing things up, getting our small square of carpet out and lying down for a while. Until then -- 5:30pm the 20th of November -- nite-nite.
